Engineered Hamiltonians

There have been lots of interesting papers recently, but I have to highlight a recent one out of the Devoret lab, [1307.4349] Stabilizing entanglement autonomously between two superconducting qubits.

They use a bunch of cheap microwave generators to constantly pump two qubits into a Bell state.  The cavity decay rates limit the overall "feedback" loop, and they have used their state of the art readout chain (for reference: F = 96%, 240ns integration, joint dispersive).  They look at some interesting post-selection possibilities, do an accounting of the infidelities in the experiment (these are always fascinating, when honest), and talk a lot of interesting inside baseball in the Supplement.
